MCE and PTSA Celebrate with a Book Program

Holidays, birthdays, and significant events are special times, both at home and at Mendon Center Elementary. One possible way to recognize one of these events in your child’s life is to participate in MCE’s Celebrate With a Book! program. By donating to our MCE Library, you will teach the value of giving and help our library grow! (Please note, this does not replace donations to classroom libraries, or parents coming in to read a book on their child’s birthday).

Your gift to the library will be recognized several ways:

  • A special book will be chosen for the library  by the MCE librarians based on your and your child’s preferences.
  • A bookplate is inserted into the book that states your child’s name, the date of the gift, and the occasion.
  • Your child will be given the opportunity to be the first student to sign out the book after it is presented during class library time. 

Please complete the form below to indicate your preference for the book we will select in your child’s honor. If you don’t have a preference, the librarians will choose a grade-level relevant book.

It may take several weeks before the book is presented to your child during library, so please plan accordingly.
