Teacher Resources  & Lesson Plans:

ABOUT SCHOOL - Resources for teachers in every grade and every subject.  Subject-specific student sections offer links and activities for practicing skills, ranging from basic math facts to easy guitar chords.

BrainPOP (gr.3 up) and BrainPOP,Jr. (K-3) -  Animated, curriculum-based content that supports educators and engages students. BrainPOP Jr. and BrainPOP are separate sites, requiring you to log in to each one (so even if you logged in at BrainPOP, you’ll need to log in at BrainPOP Jr. if you wish to use it). The id and password below works for students and teachers during school hours.  To log in as a teacher AFTER hours, see below.

BrainPOP Educators features free tips, tools, and best practices by and for the teacher community. Once you're logged in as a teacher (Name: mendon_teacher   Password: center) and click on the educators link, then the lesson plans. You are prompted to login.  But you need to create a FREE personal educators account first. Click on "REGISTER NOW" and fill in the info.

ENCHANTED LEARNING - Children's educational web sites and games designed to stimulate creativity, learning, enjoyment, and imagination. MCE teachers have access to the member's sites:  User name: meadowcenter; Password: computer84

EXPLORING NATURE - free K-8 database with information on mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, and insects, biomes, plants & trees, nature movies, and activities. ID: mcelib  Password: library (or create your own account)

 iMedia -   Links to Safari Montage includes 45,000 instructional videos, audios, images and more. Includes content from learn 360 NASA, National Geographic, PBS, Schlessinger & More. Links to Media Manger where you can reserve devices (e.g.iPads, eReaders, etc.) Links to Off-Air Taping, which includes WXXI, PBS, Discovery, History Channel, Arts $ Entertainment Channel, Biography Channel & many more.

MAPS101 - Username pcsd4, Password pcsd.  Includes over 4,000 printable maps with lesson plans great for K-12.  This site also contains daily and weekly current events articles, as well as up to date US and world reference atlases.

 MARCO POLO - Standards based resources and lesson plans, resources and Internet content and professional development for K-12 teachers. There is a National site as well as one provided through PCSD Teacher Center.

MATHWIRE - Mathwire.com is designed to provide activities and appropriate worksheets for teachers to use in their classrooms.   All activities and worksheets support the constructivist approach to learning mathematics and the NCTM Standards.

READ WRITE THINK - Reading and language arts resources, including lessons, web resources, student materials, and standards.
